Know Anything About HTML5?

25 Apr

Then we want to meet you!

Come to the next Guelph Coffee and Code meetup at Coco Latte in the Old Quebec St. Mall in downtown Guelph at 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday, April 29th to get together with other developers and designers in the area.

HTML5 is an up-and-coming technology shift for the web and we would love to hear your experiences working with it and opinions on the upcoming changes.

This will be the second meetup that uses the new 5:00-6:00 dedicated code and chat time, followed by the optional socializing time until 8:00pm. We’ve made these changes as some members have expressed difficulty with the combination of getting some code completed while also schmoozing.

Hope to see you there!

This week Guelph Coffee and Code will be holding a FAIL CAMP.

What is a fail camp you ask? It’s a gathering where people get together in order to celebrate the failures in their work.  It’s a great way to get share your experience with other so everyone has something to take away from the someone else, not to mention you get a few good laughs out of it as well.

So bring out that story that you’ve been sitting on for a while, and share it for some good laughs and a chance at a few prizes.

runner_fail This weeks event has changed venues again. I apologize for the jumping of locations, but I’m hoping to get some sponsors onboard soon to give us a place to meet that is easier to access, and easier to collaborate. In true spirit of FAIL CAMP, I believe we should go back to the roots of Guelph Coffee and Code.

Venue: The Albion Hotel
Location: 49 Norfolk Street Guelph, Ontario Canada N1H 4J1
Date: March 25, 2010
Time: 7:30 – 9:30pm
