HackGuelph: August 4

04 Aug

Yes, we are meeting tonight!

We don’t really have anybody lined up to present, so I thought we could talk about text editors. Emacs? Vim? TextMate? Notepad++? What’s your favourite? Why?

I’ll be talking about Emacs (and possibly vi), but I’d love to hear from the rest of you.

As usual, we will probably head up to the Wooly afterwards.

HackGuelph: July 21

Dan will be bringing a ChromeOS box to play with. He’ll also have a flash drive that you can use to live boot your own machine. Consider bringing your own laptop/netbook and maybe a blank flash drive.

Come to ThreeFortyNine between 6:00 and 9:00 to try it out! As usual, we’ll probably be heading over the the Woolwich Arrow afterwards.

On Thursday, Chris will be doing a workshop on Git and GitHub.

Come on out if you are interested in distributed version control!

As usual we are running at ThreeFortyNine from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., with the workshop starting around 6:30. We will be heading to the Woolwich Arrow afterwards.

HackGuelph: June 16

14 Jun

Hey folks! Our next meeting will be at ThreeFortyNine on June 16 from 6:00 to 9:00. That’s this Thursday! This will be a Microsoft-centric meeting.

Ruth Morton, a Microsoft Evangelist, will be dropping by to talk about all things Microsoft.

We may also have a short talk on getting started with .NET.

As usual, we will head over to the Woolwich Arrow afterwards.

This should be a great meeting, so come and check it out!
