HackGuelph • November 17: Zend for newbies, by a newb

14 Nov

Hey folks:

This Thursday Jeremy will be doing an introduction to Zend, a comprehensive PHP framework, from the perspective of a new user. Jeremy has been very vocal about his satisfaction with the Zend libraries. Come on out and see if this is the framework that you’ve been searching for!

As usual we’ll get started around 6:30 and head over to the Wooly when we’re done talking tech.

HackGuelph: November 3

27 Oct

Hey folks!

At next week’s meeting Chris will show off the ConTeXt code that he uses to build his resume. ConTeXt is a typesetting language similar to LaTeX.

Why would anybody build their resume using TeX, you ask? Come on to the meeting to find out!

No HackGuelph tonight

20 Oct

Hey folks:

I haven’t had time to pull anything together for tonight’s meeting, so unfortunately I’m going to have to cancel it.

Please remember that you can suggest meeting topics here, on the mailing list, or on Twitter. It would be really nice to have somebody suggest something for our next meeting on November 3.

Have a good evening, and I’ll see you in two weeks!

~Chris

HackGuelph: October 6

01 Oct

Hey folks!

Next week Sean will be talking about code size as a metric for code quality. Come on out; it should be a great time!

As always we’ll get started at ThreeFortyNine around 6:30 and head over to the Wooly afterwards.
